Effective January 1, 2007 AKC had a new agility game called F.A.S.T. This game consists of 15 obstacles that have point values, but no course order is assigned with the exception of the distance challenge portion. The distance challenge is specific and must be completed properly for a qualifying run, however it can be done anytime within the run. With the permisson of the judge, Dave Lawniczak, I have duplicated the course that he designed and the instructions that were on the back. We had the opporturnity to run this course in Feburary 2006 at a trial in Henderson, NV as a demonstration. It was fun and it was fast. Our biggest problem was my plan to include all the pointed jumps which ended up putting us slightly over the time which took points away. There were a few good handlers and fast dogs that completed all the points and made the time too. It is a game of speed AND strategy! |

Diva and I ran this excellent course in Auburn, WA on Sunday May 20th (course map has wrong date).
The pink arrows indicate the path I wanted Diva to go and the red shows where she ended up.
We did qualify on this very difficult course!
